Building the Future for Ngāti Kuri: 11 New Homes for Te Paki Stream Road and Ngātaki

At PanelLock, we are proud to be part of a transformative project that will provide 11 modern, high-quality homes for Ngāti Kuri in the Far North. These homes, designed with care and precision, will be transported and installed at the new lot developments at Te Paki Stream Road and Ngātaki starting February 2025.

This project represents more than just construction—it’s about creating sustainable, lasting spaces for whānau and the community to thrive. Each home is a step toward strengthening the connection to whenua and supporting the aspirations of Ngāti Kuri.

Introducing 11 units destined for Te Paki Stream and Ngataki.

Kāinga Ora 17 home Development, grigg st kaitaia

We have joined up with Far North Roading to develop and deliver 17 homes for our community.

We are pleased to be partnering with AHAUS, who has contracted FNR in partnership with PanelLock, to develop the site and build these brand-new homes.

These homes have been designed and built to Housing NZ specifications and will be delivered in three separate stages.

Grigg Street Showcase

Introducing a 17 home development in the heart of Kaitaia Township. These homes are Housing New Zealand compatible, and will be completed in 3 stages.

Grigg Street Update 1

Lot 1 – 5 Bedroom home is almost complete, with Lot 10 3-Bedroom being constructed down the back.

Meanwhile at PanelLock Factory, we are hard at work getting the 2x 3-Bedroom homes finished with paint, and the 2-Bedroom home is waiting on cladding to be finished.

5 homes now onsite!

1st  October bought new challenges, as we rush to complete and finish off the homes onsite.

Meanwhile FNR is busy completing siteworks, and making the place look top-notch!

Here’s an update for the start of November 2024 – Take a look through one of the 3-Bedroom homes, and a quick update on the deck’s being built outside, along with fences, landscaping, and road marking.

Grigg Street Update 4

Landscaping almost complete for Stage 1 in this 17 Lot development. Far North Roading, PanelLock, & many subcontractors are racing to complete all the decks, ramps, baseboards, balistrades and finishing off the last little bits inside the homes before the end of the week.

It’s the last week before handover to Housing NZ happens on 18th November!

Māhuru Trust - Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa Donalds Road Project

Te Runanāga O Te Rarawa – Māhuru Trust

#TeTaitokerau Our partner Te Rarawa launched Māhuru Trust, an exciting housing development of 44 whānau homes in Kaitāia, available for Te Rarawa whānau to buy or ‘rent to buy’ starting around October-November this year. Māhuru will be a new community with two new roads and a mix of 3 and 4 bedroom homes, including 8 homes with wheelchair access.
Eligibility criteria:
• Te Rarawa Iwi Membership number (register here: https://www.terarawa.iwi.nz/join-us/)
• Motivation to purchase a home
• Household income: $80,000 – $150,000
• Participation in Financial Literacy seminars and Home Maintenance workshop.

PanelLocks first big leap into the multi-dwelling Papakaingas, over the period of Dec 2022 through to Feb 2024, PanelLock, with our team of 7 builders, managed to build and deliver 16 homes on time and to budget. This project is what kick started PanelLocks expansion, and we are eternally grateful to the team at Te Aupouri for trusting us to deliver this project, and enabling Panellock to grow.
